Schools urged to provide divyang-friendly facilities


In the upcoming new education policy, the centre has decided to make a slew provisions for differently-abled students. In this, Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar has already urged schools to provide adequate facilities for every child with disability. The minister said they have asked several school management departments to provide certain divyang-friendly facilities, such as ramps in buildings, separate toilets for disabled kids, provisions to facilitate their easy movement on the campus premises and others.
