Nearly ten thousand teaching posts vacant at KVs
Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) are central government schools in India that have been instituted under the Ministry of Human Resource. As on today there are 1099 KV schools; of them, three are in abroad. More than 11 lakh students and around 60 thousand employees are enrolled in the KVs. The chain of central government schools has been recently in the news for too much of vacancies for teaching posts, which consist of principals and vice principals. In a written reply to this issue in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for HRD Upendra Kushwaha said that 9,895 teaching posts, including that of principals and vice-principals, are lying vacant in Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country.
