National Digital Library to have content in 70 plus languages

Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has announced that its National Digital Library (NDL) will have educational materials designed for primary to PG levels, available in more than 40 types of learning resources—a collection of over 13,00,000 items in 70 plus languages. In this respect, University Grants Commissions (UGC) has informed vice chancellors of central universities to advise students to register on the NDL portal being hosted by IIT Kharagpur to avail the facility. Main objective of the project is to integrate all the existing digitised and digital contents available with different institutions and provide a single-window access with e-learning facility to different groups of users.
