More than 3000 high schools in Telangana start digital classrooms

Telangana Government has recently launched digital classroom programme for more than 3000 high schools across the state. On the first day, the programme covered 3352, which counted more than half of the state’s total 5,400 government-run high schools. Under the scheme, students would get to watch teaching of various subjects via Mana TV, an educational channel by the government. The digital classroom programme is not replacing teachers, but assisting them. Launched under the Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s emphasis on human resource development for realising the dream of making Telangana a golden state, the digital classroom programme is extending to all schools by the beginning of 2017 academic session.
